The Placement Team of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department organized a preparatory session for the B.Tech Semester – VII students to prepare themselves for the upcoming campus drive of Silicon Labs. The speakers of the session were (i) Mr. Uttkarsh Tak ? Embedded Software Engineer at Silicon Labs (uttkarshtak@gmail.com) and Mr. Vardhan Batavia, Associate Engineer at Silicon Labs (18bec013@nirmauni.ac.in). The session was organized via Google Meet on 03/09/2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The purpose of the session was to have the students gain a general understanding of the Silicon Labs interview process, how to prepare for the interview process, what to look for in the last minutes, and how to make their resume powerful and appealing. The session stared with a welcome note and introduction of the guests by Dr. Sachin Gajjar, Placement Coordinator. The speakers were the Alumni of Nirma University and excellent professionals in their respective fields. Thereafter, Mr Uttkarsh Tak shared about the life at Silicon Labs, projects that he is currently working on, information about the company, their work culture, guided students regarding what is the recruitment process of the Silicon Labs, what are key subjects or points which should be kept in mind, how important soft skills are during an interview, how to respond to a topic/question which you are completely unaware of and some more tips for technical interview rounds. Next, Mr Vardhan Batavia continued the session with his experience in the company, the projects he is working on, his interview process and added a couple of more points related to the recruitment process. At the end, there was an interactive session between the students and guests, questions related to the roles offered by the company and some other queries were answered by the guests.
