The Placement Team of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department organized preparatory session for the B.Tech Semester VII students to prepare themselves for the upcoming campus drive of Optum. The speakers of the session were (i) Mr. Sanjay Parmar, Software Development Engineer at Optum (18bec069@nirmauni.ac.in) (ii) Mr. Kshitij Singh, Software Development Engineer at Optum (kshitijsingh01@gmail.com). The session was organized via Google Meet on 03/09/2022 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The purpose of the session was to have the students gain a general understanding of the Optum interview process, how to prepare for the interview process, what to look for in the last minutes and how to make their resume powerful and appealing. The session started with the introduction of speakers, their job profile and introduction about Optum. Mr. Parmar shared the details about interview process at Optum last year. It had 2 rounds. First one was MCQ + coding round and second was Interview involving resume discussion, questions on DBMS, Data structures and operating systems. After this Mr. Singh took over the session, wherein he gave insights about his interview experience at Optum and his work profile at Optum. Both the speakers gave few tips about how to prepare for interviews and how to enhance resume. The session ended by Q&A. The participants asked a variety of questions involving core focus in interview, their other interview experience, and some general queries.
