The Electronics and Communication Students’ Organisation organised a Workshop on “PCB Design” on 30th March 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in D-Block Nirma University followed by a visit to PCB Power India. This workshop was held for all the department’s students, that was packed with learning and an opportunity for students to explore on how to design Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and witness its practical application in real-world industrial settings.
The workshop commenced with an insightful introduction to the fundamentals of PCB design, covering topics such as component placement, routing techniques, signal integrity, and design considerations. Led by experienced industry professionals and faculty members, interactive sessions were conducted, imparting theoretical knowledge supplemented with practical demonstrations using industry-standard software tools like KiCad. The workshop concluded with a question-and-answer session where participants had the chance to clarify any doubts. Following the workshop, students embarked on an enriching industrial visit to PCB Power India, a leading PCB manufacturing facility.
