A student team from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University has won 2nd place and a cash prize of ₹7,50,000 at the national-level robotics competition organized by GUJCOST. The team, comprising Dharmik Makim, Krishna Patel, Madhav Maheshwari, and Namra Ritesh Shah, competed in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle (IGV) category under the mentorship of Dr. Vijay Savani. Their autonomous robot successfully performed complex tasks including navigation, obstacle detection, and QR code recognition, all without manual intervention. The project demonstrated strong technical skills in embedded systems, computer vision, and autonomous control. The Institute congratulates the team and their mentor for this outstanding achievement, which reflects the students’ dedication to innovation and excellence in robotics.
