The Department of Electronics and Communication (EC) Engineering organized a one-day Orientation Programme for the students of BTech Semester IV and VI. The schedule was prepared at the department level in coordination with Dr Usha Mehta (HOD, EC) and coordinator Prof. Hardik Joshi.

The detailed schedule is as follows:

    Venue: C- Auditorium Date: 19th Jan 2023

The Orientation Program began on January 19, 2023 (09:00 am) with the prayer and welcoming of the students by HOD, EC. The inaugural event was attended by all the students and faculty members. The HoD-EC addressed all the students and briefed them about the academic disciplines and upcoming events in EC Department related to the students. Dr D K Kothari, Professor, EC department, released the e-newsletter of EC department “SPECTRUM” Vol 4 Issue 1.

The first session in the Orientation Program was conducted by Dr Sachin Gajjar, Associate Professor EC department, IT-NU. The topic of his talk was on demonstration of “career care portal”. Dr Gajjar demonstrated all the features available on career care portal and how it is useful for the students. The session ended with an interaction with the students and a discussion on the questions raised by the audience.

The Second session of the day(11.00 AM-12.00 PM) was delivered by Mr. Sanjay Chakraborty, Founder and Chief Marketing Communication Advisor, ESSKSEE, titled “HALF GLASS IS FULL”. He discussed about the importance of time management and discipline in life. He also motivated students to be dedicated towards achieving the goals.

The third Session of the day(01.00 PM-2.00 PM) was conducted by Dr Parth Vaishnav, Consultant Psychiatrist & De-addiction Expert on  “Mental health – illness to wellness”, he talked about the mental health of the students. He discussed and motivated students on the study, life, and balancing the lifestyle in college days. He discussed more common tendencies among students. He focused on not to underestimate any phycological problems, not to be addicted to drugs, etc.

The fourth session (02.00 PM-4.00 PM) in the Orientation Program was conducted by Mr Abhimanyu, Author and columnist at Sandesh. The topic of his talk was “Unimaginable future is (not) waiting for you!”. He motivated students by giving life examples of Mohamad Ali, Mike Tyson. His talk pointed toward fast-changing technology and trends and being up to date, and be ready for any thing.

The orientation programme was concluded by the vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Hardik Joshi. Overall, it was a great learning for students, being motivated by experts; on the first day of the semester.
