AICTE ATAL Academy Sponsored one-week FDP (Online) On ?Internet of Things (IoT) for Agriculture? July 19-23, 2021

A one-week online Faculty Development Programme on ?Internet of Things for Agriculture ?was organised during July 19-23, 2021 through the WebEx platform. Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering received the fund of INR 93,000/- from AICTE -ATAL for organizing this FDP. Renowned experts from Industry and Academic Institutes conducted all the sessions. The registration of the webinar was open for faculty members of all the Universities across the nation and 200 participants from different states of the country participated successfully. This FDP was coordinated by Dr N P Gajjar and Dr Manisha Upadhyay from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. The inaugural session at the Institute was chaired by the Director, Institute of Technology and HoD, Electronics, and Communication Engineering Department, IT-NU. Common inauguration session of 24 ATAL-FDP was organised by the ATAL academy and was chaired by Dr T G Sitharam, Director-IIT Guwahati. Prof Ashutosh Dutta, Johns Hopkins University, USA delivered the keynote address on 5G Networks for IoT and Security: Opportunities and Challenges. The demonstrations of various projects based on the Internet of Things in Agriculture were also presented.

Minimum 80% of the attendance was mandatory for successful completion of the course. At the end of the programme, as per the directive of ATAL academy, the performance of the participants was evaluated by an online MCQ-based test and assignment.
